SOLAR HELPS VISY DRIVE towards SUSTAINABILITY

Paul Maiolo is a qualified electrician of over 18 years and the owner of Solar Power Direct. What first sparked his interest in solar was a conversation at the dinner table with family about the rising energy costs, and the idea of never having to pay for electricity.  In 2009 he set up Solar Power Direct and has not looked back.

Fast forward to 2022 and Solar Power Direct have installed over 5,000 solar systems including recently a huge 225kW system for Visy’s Kilburn site. Visy have strong sustainability goals and so powering their sites through solar aligns with their business goals as well as saving them money in the medium to long term. In fact, at the time of writing, payback periods for solar panels are at near-all-time lows.
